Braço de Prata

Braço de Prata ist an sich eine ganz nette Gegend. Die alte Waffenfabrik ist inzwischen ein Kulturzentrum, die Häuser oberhalb der Bahnlinie sind modern, die Anbindung ist gut (hier treffen sich die Cascais- und Sintra-Vorortzuglinien, ziemlich genau in der Mitte zwischen Oriente und Santa Apolónia), lediglich der Bahnhof selbst ist ein Ort, an dem man selbst tagsüber nur ungern verweilt. Für mich als Krimiautor ein idealer Handlungsort in "Der Hirte ist mein Herr" ... Privat möchte ich da nicht einmal tot am Baum hängen ...

Braço de Prata is actually a nice neighbourhood. The old gun factory is nowadays a cultural centre, the houses above the railway tracks are modern, public transport is well developed (it is here that the Cascais and Sintra suburban train lines meet, half way between Oriente and Santa Apolónia Station). Only the railway station itself is a place where you don't want to spend more time than absolutely necessary, even during the day. For me as an author of crime fiction a perfect setting in "The Shepherd Is My Lord"... Privately I wouldn't even want to hang dead from one of the palm trees ...
